COVID-19 UPDATES:

First, we want to take a moment to extend our most sincere appreciation to each and every essential worker around the world. Thank you for all that you do.

Secondly, it saddens us to inform you that both the FWB Fellowship Program and the FWB Grants Program are currently on hold – due to COVID-19.

FELLOWSHIPS

Unfortunately, due to international public health concerns, it is unlikely that the Fellowships Program will resume again in 2020. We will be sure to post any updates here, should the situation change. Any current applications will be fully refunded. We are happy to keep all documents on file and re-consider them in future application cycles. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and hope that we will be able to send international media educators out into the world again soon.

UPDATE: Dec. 1, 2020 – We regret to inform everyone that the FWB Fellowship program remains on hold. Please continue to check this webpage for future updates throughout the year.

UPDATE: Dec. 1, 2022 – In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, FWB leadership made the decision to pause all of its programs and activities in order to re-evaluate how best to support the international storytelling community.

Sadly, this pause will continue until further notice, while the leadership team actively examines future options for all of FWB’s initiatives.

Please know that we greatly appreciate your interest and enthusiasm for our work, be it as a potential applicant, potential partner, or someone who is simply passionate about media education in the developing world.

Any applications that have already been submitted will be kept on file for consideration in future cycles. We aim to have the grant program up and running again soon. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience, as we know many of you were looking forward to telling some amazing stories.
